The Xtreme Character ChallengeSM (XCCSM) is not a men's conference or retreat. Men are led into the wilderness where inspiration, adventure and challenge forge a deep spiritual experience, and in some way, man and God meet.
For 72 hours men work in teams and discover important lessons about God’s intended purpose for their lives. Men are tested physically, mentally and spiritually.
The end result...strong men will return home as new husbands, fathers, friends and brothers with lasting impressions of an adventure that has given them new insights into their lives and their relationship with God. Choices were made, brotherhood was formed and they can no longer be the same.
The XCC is for men ages 18 and up. Our oldest participant to date is 76 years old. The XCC is not a retreat. There are no bunk beds or hot showers. Make sure you can jog for half an hour without passing out, do 30 pushups and 30 sit ups (within 30 minutes), and walk up the stairs carrying 40 extra pounds without panting. These are the minimum requirements. Teams walk considerable distances carrying their backpacks with needed equipment. The XCC is designed for men to finish. Men will discover their capacity to do more together.
You will trek for many miles and confront mental and physical challenges. It's important that you prepare. Click this link for important information.

The Xtreme Character Challenge starts on Thursday night and ends Sunday at noon. Multiple teams of seven to ten men (18 and over) band together to face the stunning scenery and rugged terrain in epic locations.
You will invest both time and money and it will be one of the best investments you can make for your life. You will leave behind the comforts of home. There are no showers. No running water. No bunk beds and cozy lodge. During the XCC, only the items on the packing list provided are allowed.
The Xtreme Character Challenge is a physically challenging event. You will hike a considerable distance while carrying your backpack and needed equipment. Prepare as much as you can in the lead-up to the event -- walk, run, do basic strength training (examples here) -- and ensure you drink plenty of water and fuel your body with healthy 'quality' calories.
