PACK LIST

The Father & Daughter Challenge has some required equipment, nothing more, nothing less. DO NOT overpack. We encourage you to borrow the needed equipment if you do not have some items.

4MUS will supply all food and drinks on the trail. Firearms are not allowed under any circumstance.

Activities Include: White Water Rafting, Hiking, Camping

All items listed below are per person unless stated otherwise.

DOCUMENTS

(waterproof packed)

 

  • ID/driver’s license
  • Insurance card
  • I.C.E. (in case of emergency) home number or another contact person

 


CLOTHES

IMPORTANT—Check local temperatures before travel and adjust your pack accordingly.

 

  • 1-2 pair of pants for hiking 
  • Long sleeve shirt and/or short sleeve shirts 
  • Personal undergarments
  • Modest swimsuit for rafting
  • 1 sweatshirt or light jacket 
  • Comfortable clothes for around camp 
  • Rain jacket & pants or poncho 
  • Sunglasses/hat (optional)


SHOES

  • Water shoes/tennis shoes, (must lace-up or strap on (no slip-ons), they will get wet)
  • Hiking boots
  • Socks (wicking/wool recommended)– 3 pairs

Transport 

  • Daypack (20-24 liter per person) and waterproof cover (trash bag, poncho, or backpack cover)
  • Duffle Bag or larger backpack - per person

 


SLEEPING

  • Sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and small camping pillow
  • Tent (Father & Daughter share tent)

 


COOKING AND FOOD

  • Mug/aluminum cup (must hold hot liquids)
  • Knife, Spoon, or spork
  • Water bottles (2) 32oz reusable bottles or 2-3Liter hydration pack) 
  • Bring bottles/hydration packs full of water
  • 4MUS will provide all food / do not bring any with you unless needed for medical reasons (alert 4MUS to medical needs)

 


HYGIENE AND CARE

(No makeup needed on the Father & Daughter Challenge)

  • Toiletries 
  • Towel
  • Toilet Paper / Feminine Products / Hand Sanitizer / Ziplocs
  • Sunscreen / Bug Spray / Chapstick (optional)
  • Personal Meds / Pain Meds as needed
  • Items to prevent blisters and chaffing (optional)

 


OTHER

  • Headlamp (if you don’t have a headlamp, bring a flashlight)
  • Bible and pen (in a Ziploc bag to keep Bible dry) 
  • Hiking Poles (optional)
